Restoration of a “1900 beach house” ,in an advanced state of degradation. A new structure in reinforced concrete is introduced, but the set of roofs, the eaves, the design of the window frames, the stone frames are preserved.
An expansion of contemporary design, lined with corrugated sheet metal, a current material, also common at the time, fills / disguises the huge neighboring gable.
Inside, some carpentry works were recovered or reproduced using “molds” from the demolition, others with a contemporary design – depending on the intended effect.
